PRIVACY

Where information goes.

This page describes the behaviour we run. It is not a lawyer’s privacy policy, and it states no retention period beyond what is written here.

The early-access form

The form posts to the site’s own handler. It asks for an email and an optional note about what you want to make. There is a hidden company field to catch automated signups. Addresses join the early-access list only. They are not added to a separate newsletter. Mail is sent from [email protected]. You can ask that address to be removed.

Your BitBytec account

You sign up and sign in with Google or with an email address and password. Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase; BitBytec never sees your Google password, and email passwords are held by Firebase, not by us. We keep your email address, your name and picture if Google provides them, when you last signed in, and your plan. Account records are stored in Google’s London data centre (europe-west2) and on BitBytec’s own server. Payments are not switched on yet, so no card details are taken.

When the Mac app signs in, it opens this sign-in in your browser and receives only a key for that Mac. Signing out in the app cancels the key.

The Mac app

Project files are written on your Mac, under your home directory. When you connect ChatGPT, Claude, or Grok on the web, their requests reach your Mac through BitBytec’s server at api.bitbytec.com, over the connection the app keeps open. Files a chat sends are held on that server only until your Mac collects them. The planning chat and the coding agent are separate products. What they send to their own services is covered by those products, not by this paragraph.

The Mac app sends usage statistics (for example that a sign-in or a build finished) and crash reports to Google Firebase, with your plan type but not your email, project files, prompts, or code. Turn this off in the app’s account menu under “Share usage and crash reports”.

Accepting a blueprint lets the coding agent work in the project. It is not a guarantee that generated code is safe, and it is not a promise that the connector can never be aimed at a file you did not intend.

This website

Labs and articles are public pages. Do not send secrets in the early-access note.

Visit statistics

We count visits with Google Analytics (through Firebase) so we can see which pages are read: the pages you open, how you arrived (for example from a search or a link), how long you stay, how far you read an article, and which links and buttons you press. It sets a statistics cookie. It is never used for advertising, and advertising cookies are switched off. Visitors in the European Economic Area and Switzerland are counted without any cookie or stored identifier. Automated visitors are not counted.

Your idea. Your AI. Your creation.

What would you make first?

Describe it to the chat you already use. Accept the plan on your Mac. Watch your own coding agent build it.
