Make an API and a small admin

A backend pack is a small server on your Mac, plus a page where you can see that it is awake.

Three glass blocks stacked by a window: green, cyan, and amber.
A backend is a few clear pieces: a server, a health check, and a page in front.

Backends means a small server

Choose Backends and the pack is an API plus a simple admin page. On accept, Bitbytec writes the page and a small server. The server answers a health check with a short JSON note, and otherwise serves the page. It listens on your Mac, on port 8787.

How you know it is there

The desk can show the page. The health check is how you know the server process is the one Bitbytec started, not a picture of a server. The coding agent is asked to extend that server from the blueprint, and to leave the health check in place.

What it does not do

A laptop and a phone sharing one bright picture on a white desk.
The admin page is something you can open. The API is the server behind it.

This starter is not a hosted platform, a database you rent, or a login for your customers. Those can be part of a later blueprint. They are not created by the word Accept.
