Grok’s new voice is the same price, and they say it is faster.
xAI announced Grok Voice 3.0, a speech-to-speech model. They say it leads an independent speech index from Artificial Analysis, dated 13 October 2026, with a score of 86.9. They say the delay is under a second, and that it handles pauses and interruptions well enough to score 97 percent on a test they call Full Duplex Bench. On support-call tasks they say it is close to another frontier voice model, at 40 percent lower delay.
They say it already runs millions of conversations a day in Tesla cars, and that Starlink’s call centres use it on about 20,000 calls a day. Of those, they say about 70 percent finish with no person on the line, and one in four sales calls ends in a purchase before the caller hangs up.
The price they publish is the same as the previous voice model: $0.08 a minute, which is $4.80 an hour. Anyone already calling the name grok-voice-latest was switched over. The older voice model is deprecated.
A voice you can call. Not an app you own.
If you want the thing on the other end to be yours, you still describe it. The IDE on your Mac asks before a local agent builds it. You watch a preview.
